Our People

Our Core

Heading our teachers are Mr Ammiel Wan, creator of the Conceptual Approach and Mr Stewart Teng, an established educator in the field of Singapore Mathematics.

Mr Ammiel Wan is the creator of the Cognitive Conceptual Approach which is being used by majority of primary schools today. With more than a decade of experience in training HODs and teachers in many schools, he has helped teachers developed and customised his approach. This in turn help many pupils in different schools with various abilities, ranging from the gifted to pupils with learning needs.

Stewart Teng is a former Vice Principal (Designate) of one of the top performing schools in Singapore. For his outstanding performance and contribution to impart knowledge and influence the younger generation, he was conferred the Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) in 2004 by the Ministry of Education and National Youth Council, Singapore.

Mr Jairus Yuen holds a Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education and has more than 14 years of teaching experiences both in MOE and in learning centres. He has been actively involved in the conducting of pupils’ workshops and classes at VisibleMATH. Known for his explicit way of explaination, pupils have found his classes to be very enjoyable and challenging.

Ms Anna Wong has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University. She is a warm and caring teacher who wants all children to be successful learners and work to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the varied needs of the students. She started teaching since 1998 and has had extensive experience at all levels of primary school.

Ms Joli Tjang is an adjunct university lecturer who is in charge of our JC curriculum. She holds a Masters in Science, specializing in Mathematics from NTU (NIE). She also holds a Bachelor of Science (2nd Upper Honors) from National University of Singapore, with a major in Statistics and Mathematics.

They are motivated under her tutelage as she breaks down Math concepts into bite sized basics that are easy to understand. She enjoys building students' confidence, which is the key to their success.

Miss Lum is an ex RGS girl with 9 A1s @ O levels and five As @ A level including Further Mathematics and Special Paper for C Math and graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Social Science (Second Class Honours) in Economics and was placed on the Dean’s List consistently.

Miss Yvonne Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from National University of Singapore and a Postgraduate Diploma In Primary Education with Merit from National Institute of Education. An ex-colleague of Mr Wan himself, she has taught in St Andrew’s Junior School and Hong Wen School for 15 years.

As compared to many other centers who do not display their trainers' credentials, VisibleMATH is totally transparent in showing the credentials and relevant experiences of their teachers. As a MOE registered centre who even trains school teachers, I am totally at ease and entrust my child to them all these years.

We appreciate his teacher's open and honest feedback on our child's weakness and works with us to monitor our child's progress. Today, not only has his attitude changed for the better, he has developed such great interest for the subject and jumped by 2 grades to achieve an A*.
